What made you start your own business? I had worked in the corporate world in Marketing/Advertising/Graphic Design for a while and then started my own business to be able to create what I felt passionate about. I also love the fact that any successes are my own and any “failures” are just “learning lessons”.
If you had to start over what one thing would you do differently? Trust in myself more, it’s tough especially when are you are just starting out but stay positive and keep moving forward closer to your goal. Face the fear and take action – fear comes from inaction.
What’s your favorite, can’t-work-with-out, item? My Mac and my Lemon Perrier fizzing next to me on my desk!
What is the best piece of business advice you’ve ever received? Write down your goals, create a Vision Board and actually pin photos of your goals and dreams to that board. If you can’t define and visual your goals they are just dreams.
Which two people (past or present) would you like to meet over coffee and why? The photographer Jose Villa because he has such a beautiful, soft style of photography and seems like a really warm and open person. Coco Chanel for her timeless style and strength.
In five words how would you sum up your personality, style, company brand? Romantic, Elegant, Natural, Feminine, Love.
What would you like your clients to come away saying about you? I would love for my clients to look at their photos years from now and have all of the love and emotions from their wedding day come flooding back to them. I feel so honoured and privileged to be asked to photograph someone’s wedding day, I take their photos as if it were my own wedding!
What are your three favorite blogs besides your own and platinumeventsgroup.com?
Jasmine Star has a wonderful conversational writing style and is so open about how she takes her photos and always shares her tips and experiences.
I’m completely obsessed with Paris right now, I’ve never been but going with my Husband for our 10 Year Anniversary – I have to prepare right?
The whole white French-inspired décor with the shabby chic whites is so clean and airy – so perfect especially with our hot summer! Plus it’s written by a photographer so all of her blog entries are visually dee-lish!
