A grand, urban contemporary themed wedding incorporating a variety of traditional Italian elements was how Mounira and Paolo envisioned their day. It had to be opulent and lavish, to suit the tastes of the luxury loving couple. Designers worked closely with a very “hands on” bride, helpful family members and style conscious bride and groom to achieve exactly that. Held in Toronto’s iconic Carlu, the art deco interior was transformed into a crisp wonderland of white, silver and navy blue. The couple’s signature style was evident from the moment people entered the fabric-draped foyer filled with lush florals and glowing candlelight.
Coincidentally, the streets around the Carlu were closed to vehicular traffic for the annual Nuit Blanche Art Walk. This being the case, the day was scheduled around this fact, allowing guests to arrive before the closures took place. Happily, what could have been a logistical nightmare became a unique photographic opportunity allowing this urban loving couple the opportunity for some truly one of kind wedding photographs in the heart of car-free downtown Toronto.
