Why is the Initial Consultation Important?
We understand that due to distance restrictions not everyone can meet with us in person, however if it is at all possible, we highly encourage it. We believe that first impressions are important to both sides (wedding planner/ designer & client), as it gives us a preview of how our working relationship will be like. We get that our personalities may not gel with every client so the initial consultation is an excellent opportunity for us to get to know each other better and see if we fit.We ask that you bring as much information with you to the meeting (I.e. Vendor information, magazines, pictures, etc.) and encourage you to ask as many questions as you like! From this meeting you will come away with valuable information and insight on your wedding plans.
How does it work?
First you need to call or email us… After we’ve scheduled you in for a consultation, we will send you a client questionnaire to complete and email back to us for our review, 72 hours prior to our meeting. If we do not receive your completed questionnaire back in time, we will note your consultation as “cancelled”. Our first meeting takes place at our ‘lofty’ studio, located at 9 Davies Avenue, Suite 300, Toronto, Ontario. Initial consultations are by appointment only (subject to availability) and last approximately one hour in length.
Who should attend?
The bride and groom. During the initial consultation is it important that we begin creating a genuine working foundation with the couple therefore we ask that consultations be restricted to the bride and groom only. If the bride and/or groom cannot be present at the time of the initial consultation we will gladly meet with another individual appointed by the couple who is active in the wedding planning process.
What can I expect?
During your initial consultation, we discuss the scope of your wedding/event and determine what service is most appropriate for your needs. The information we collect assists us in creating a service proposal in which we will send to you via email, 24 hours post-consultation. Destination wedding clients will receive a customized venue/location proposal upon arrival to the consultation.
How do we prepare?
We have listed the items you can do to prepare for your consultation.
1. Complete the client questionnaire and send it back to us 72 hours prior to your consultation.
2. Bring pictures of things that give you wedding inspiration.
3. Write down anything you wish to discuss including questions.
4. Bring any information you currently have in regards to vendors you are considering of have confirmed/booked.
5. Discuss as a couple on what you want out of your wedding day and what is important to you (I.e. Mood, setting, food, special guests, feelings, etc.).
We understand how precious time is to everyone and want every couple to get the most out of their complimentary initial consultation with us. Even if you don’t hire Platinum Events Group, we hope that you come away with valuable information and a happy experience.
We look forward to meeting with you!
